This company has done a great job. The house is older so some TLC was expected and issues are sometimes unavoidable, but the staff at ODUrent has done a great job of handling the maintenance issues I've experienced quickly anytime I've reached out. Also, the rent is reasonably affordable even through the crazy rise in the market since COVID too which makes life much less stressful financially. I definitely recommend renting with ODUrent.

I can’t say ODURent is 5 stars, as a student sometimes you get great service it just depends who you get, but I got Nathan today for a tour and he was 10/10 the best person we’ve worked with yet! Communicated with us very well, explained the walkthroughs of the location, I can say in the past we’ve had awkward experiences where people wouldn’t even really talk. However, Nathan did a great job! Made everything easier for us!

I am a student at ODU and I have had a good experience leasing thus far. Any maintenance requests I put in are handled immediately. My roommate was kicked out for not being able to afford the place (despite it being more affordable than on-campus housing). ODURent splits the lease costs, however, so I was only responsible for my portion of rent as long as I got a replacement roommate in a timely manner. I do wish there was an easier way to handle utilities through the company ODURent so that those would be split evenly even with irresponsible roommates.

I love ODUrent, this is my 2nd year living in one of their properties.. they always respond to emails quickly, the staff is extremely nice (shoutout to my girl Monica). What I love about ODUrent is that their properties are very affordable and they help you find roommates if you're by yourself. Maintenance is always on time. Smoke detector inspections are regular to keep everybody safe. It's just great, I never want to leave.

The Office staff and the maintenance team were very helpful with helping me to resolve some issues that I was having in my apartment. The Mill is by far one of the coolest places to live off campus! My only issue was that the parking spots are limited but I never had an issue finding parking in front of the building. Odurent has made my first experience living on my own the best!

ODUrent was able to fix my complaints. Their property 'the mills' is their prized property and for good reason. It's a great spot to stay close to campus. They keep the area safe with a fenced in parking lot, security cameras in the public halls, bolt locks on all the steel doors and concrete walls. I called it a fortress when I lived there. One of the safest places in walking distance from ODU. I've lived there for 2 years and ODUrent has been doing a great job renovating the building, and they're continuing to improve the location. My only gripe with the company is it is mandatory for them to take roughly 200$ from your deposit no matter how clean and perfect of a tennant you are. They use this money to repaint and call multiple cleaning services to clean your room before it is rented out to new renters. Makes sense I guess. Wasn't a big deal, and overall I've had a positive experience with odurent compared to other rental companies or individuals in the area. They're a top notch professional company. Would recommend.

The mills is a great living enviorment. They offer a rustic loft feel in all of the rooms. In addition they have matenace staff available to rectify any known or unknown issues you may come across. I recommend it to any college student or young adult looking for a living space they can make their own.

Went to their office in person because I live close. I had found a dead cockroach in my apartment and freaked out, I hadn't seen any other signs but was still very worried. They saw me immediately and I explained to them, and they said they would send a person to spray just in case to and to make me feel more assured. The person came the next day and I feel so much better. Felt like this was handled fast and to high standards. Good management.

My roommates and I had a serious mold problem. Maintenance came out the next morning, as soon as they could. The guy was able to clean all the infected areas, and give us a dehumidifier to insure the problem wouldn’t happen again. I was very happy that maintenance took care of it as quickly as they did!

Odu rent has set the standard for me as far a rental property management. The maintenance team Chris bacon and Raymundo were excellent. Great communication. Great community. I wish the lease agreements were clearer in terms of what’s considered maintenance on what we’re supposed to pay for (the tenant) and what’s considered maintenance they (the company pays towards) like lightbulb replacement is $10 a bulb when you can get a 4 pack for $5.99. Anyways I truly did enjoy my experience renting with them and hope to rent again soon before finding my dream forever home. If you like communication, speedy on-call service from maintenance, no hassle online service which also throws community gestures on holidays at the office then it’ll be great to rent here 🩷. Been here for a year 1/2 and by far best rental experience.

Only 4 stars because everyone else in maintenance who has came by sucks but wayde miller was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained everything to us and even offered to clean up! I’m surprised I’m even leaving 3 stars, in the beginning was very excited to be renting with them seemed very smooth and I was in a rush to find housing since I go to school out there, they found roommates for me and they seemed nice. Pictures and everything they post is FALSE ADVERTISING!! We all moved in, cleaning was not done prior to when we moved in, and so many problems with the place already. Rooms are TINY, overpriced rent! Utilities overpriced as well. There was mold all over the place, COCKROACHES, so many issues. Maintenance would come periodically but they barely did anything. Finally found someone to sub lease so I could leave and speaking with the leasing office was such a Hassle. Worst experience ever and don’t rent with them ! Go with anyone else but ODU RENT

Current resident, im honestly not very impressed by odu rent at all. However the maintenance staff has been beyond helpful specifically Mike who has fixed multiple things in my apartment with a great and friendly attitude.

They are timely and pretty helpful with their maintenance, but sometimes ignore certain requests and you have to contact them again or more directly. Also, you do get problems fairly often so there's that. But they fix it without question so, can't complain too much.

ODUrent isn't great but isn't bad. In the two years of renting with them, we've had some problems with rodents, appliances, and unpermitted people parking in our lot. While we had to deal with a lot, it got better. Price and location are the redeeming qualities of the rental.
